Yesterday saw the biggest snow storm in the Kanto area in over 40 years, with 6 or 7 inches of snow falling over several hours. We were given the day off, as access to schools would have been nigh on impossible, so were free to wander around at our leisure.
With the storm raging from before we got up to after we went to bed, there was still a lot of snow left this morning. Buses were running with chains, and the trains were just about going, if a little irregularly. We managed to get a train out at about 1pm today after waiting 20 minutes at the station, but by the time we came back they were back on a [slightly more infrequent but still impressive] schedule
So that we didn’t spend all of yesterday snowed in, we went for a little walk around and took some photos. As the area around where we live isn’t that impressive usually, enjoy Funabashi Hoten in the snow!
